On the afternoon of December 17th, the inaugural meeting of the SEMI China Materials Committee, hosted by SEMI China and organized by the Tongxiang Municipal People's Government, was successfully held in Wuzhen. More than 30 leaders from leading semiconductor material companies at home and abroad gathered in Wuzhen to witness the official establishment of the SEMI China Materials Committee. The Senior Vice President of Shanghai Zhengfan Technology Co., Ltd. ("Zhengfan Technology"), as one of the first members of the Materials Committee, attended the founding ceremony.

Mr. Ju Long, Vice President of SEMI Global and President of China Region, mentioned in his welcome speech that "in terms of the semiconductor materials market, it is expected to remain stable this year and reach a new high in 2021. There is a significant gap between the supply and demand of domestic semiconductor materials. After deducting the export value, the self-sufficiency rate of Chinese integrated circuit materials in 2019 is about 10%, which is an opportunity for Chinese enterprises." He also awarded member certificates to the 17 members of the first committee one by one.
